The beginning of the year 2011 for the Manor House actually had its beginning at the end of 2010 with the Board of Directors' meeting when the Board discussed plans for 2011. Hopefully, time will reveal that these plans will grow MHF financially and its sphere of influence. At the present, we are not able to share all of the goals for MHF because they have not taken any definite shape yet. However, we can share some of what we plan to do during the upcoming year. We are pleased to announce that MHF is committed to continue to help cancer patients with their home cleaning and to continue giving to local churches. We are also working on developing a website so that we can establish an internet presence.
We continue to ask for your prayers, advice and suggestions, and most of all for God's blessing on our efforts and on our lives. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep us all through the coming year.
Peace,
Phillip Gibson

Christmas 2010
This Christmas the Manor House Foundation decided to provide an underprivileged single mother, who has a nine year old son and an eight year old daughter. For less than $200, MHF purchased several games, toys and candy for the two children and some fruit and a ham and assorted side items (vegetables, rolls, dessert, etc) for a Christmas meal for the family. The mother has recently lost her job and did not know how she was going to provide Christmas for her two children. The MHF board of directors voted to purchase these items to make sure that this family was able to celebrate Christ's birth with presents and with a feast. When MHF board member Nate Gibson and I delivered the food and gifts to the family's home, the mother recounted a trip she made to Wal Mart that morning. She told us that she had only $10, but that she went to Wal Mart to see what she could get for her kids. When she got to Wal Mart, she made eye contact with a man she had never seen before. He came up to her and gave her a $50 gift certificate and told her that God had put it on his heart to give her the certificate. It was encouraging that God was using his saints to minister to this woman and her family. May the Lord be praised.
The young mother was extremely appreciative and cried a little bit upon our visit. With the gifts MHF provided and the $50 gift certificate the unknown man of God gave her, she and her two young children will be able to celebrate Christmas like those of us who have been so richly blessed.
We wish everyone a blessed and merry Christmas this year. May the Lord's Spirit be with you and your family in all ways and through all things.
Peace
Phillip Gibson

One of the ways Manor House Foundation has been able to give this past year was to provide some housecleaning to a cancer patient, Jennifer Simms of Huntsville, AL. While Jennifer was going through her treatment and her recovery, MHF provided a housecleaner to assist Jennifer periodically with some of her household tasks. She was thoughtful enough to bless us with a note of thanks. Hopefully, this note will bless you and give you a little bit of insight into MHF. Also, please pray for Jennifer as the Spirit prompts you; she is still recovering and regaining her strength:
"Dear Phillip and Board Members of the Manor House Foundation,
For many weeks my family and I have been blessed by your thoughtfulness and generosity. And to be honest, these words are very belated simply because any words I choose are totally inadequate for expressing my gratitude.
Your gift has provided me help with routine cleaning of our home while I have been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment for cancer. Knowing that I had help with the house allowed me to use my strength and energy for activities with the children so that their lives could proceed as naturally as possible!
Now, as I recover from surgery, I can doubly appreciate the help because of my temporary physical limitations. We even cleaned out the refrigerator in preparation for my family to visit!
As I give thanks for you all and your decision to help me, I pray God will return the blessing to you as you continue to honor Christ with your faithfulness and your giving.
Through His grace,
Jennifer Simms"
